Life Is Too Short ...

I had the honor of photographing this sweet family. The mother has only a week left to live. How blessed I was to be present for this special time of trying to capture some precious moments these kids will remember the rest of their lives.

Not only is this tragic, but it is something each of us should have. It is knowing when our time will be up, and making the most of that time. Life is way too short. It is too short to hold on to things people did or said, or to remain bitter about things that just don't matter. Everyone is human, and everyone makes mistakes. We are not perfect. No one is. This sweet woman is living each of her last days to the fullest. She is telling those in her life how much they mean to her.

I think we all need to live life this way. If there is someone that you need to apologize to, or someone that you need to accept forgiveness from ... then do it! Let down your pride. Break down those walls. We need to not be so judgemental. We are all the same. We all have feelings and grief and trials, just as we each have happiness and joy. That is how we need to look at one another.
