Poor Benny!

Poor little Ben. Ten minutes after I took "Ben Graduated From Swimming Lessons" pictures, Ben was running in the street and got going too fast and fell. About 5 seconds before he fell, Granny told him to not run in the street in those shoes (CAR shoes from Target - croc-like). This is the first time he has fallen hard like this. I guess with being a boy, we are in for some of these types of things. I grab my camera, because it's right there, you know, and I start taking pictures and he is sobbing "Why are you taking pictures of me?!!"

Ben does NOT like band-aids ... at all! He would rather bleed all over the place than to have a band-aid placed on his body. Just this morning, I had purchased big waterproof band-aids at 7-11 (along with a sugar free RedBull at 6:30 a.m.) for my heels. So, I sat him down and much to his dislike, I put 3 band-aids on his knees. He was very against this, but I explained that it would help them to feel better and he basically had no choice but to have them on for the night. Then, he did his little 2 hands on knees, hobbled over like an old person walk that Greg and I love so much. Is that bad to love something that your kid does when he is hurt? It is so cute.

Of course, Greg and I were going on a date with our friends and were running a bit behind when this happened. So, I didn't spend as much cuddly time as I would have liked to do. And, Greg and I NEVER go out. So of course, something major is bound to happen. Then, 10 minutes later, Reese fell and whacked her head. Gave both kids a little love and left them with Granny to go meet our friends for dinner at Pei Wei. Poor kids. Poor Granny. Dinner and conversation (3 hours of it) was lovely.

Greg suggested I title this "On Ben Did Knee" get it? Read it fast. That Greg's always got something funny to say. I sure love him!

Poor little guy, I hate when they get hurt. However, Denton loves band aides. We have had to make it a rule that you only get one if you're bleeding.

Greg is so funny. I think he should write a few blogs, just so we don't miss him so much.

Ben, if I had a dollar for everytime I have seen your daddy's face exactly like that when he was growing up and had seen blood, I'd be a rich girl! :) Ouch Buddy!

Congrats on being a great swimmer!!! See you soon!
