Poor Foot

This picture doesn't even do justice. It looks so much worse than this. I don't know if it's the lighting or the flash. Oh well. Here's the story. At the beginning of our camping trip, my heels were so cracked and hurt SO bad. So, I put some super glue on them, followed by a huge bandaid. Four days later I removed the bandage to find what you see above. What you don't see is the huge amount of infection that had just poured out of it. I ended up at the hospital for a severe headache and vomiting. I had the doctors take a look at my foot, and they were very concerned. The huge red area you see is all infected. There is also a line of it that heads up to my ankle, which is also swollen and filled with infection. The black part is dead tissue. So, they ended up putting me on 2 heavy duty antibiotics. It is slowly healing up. Hopefully I will not have to have partial tissue amputation!
