Friday Night Tornado

It all began innocently enough ... picnic outside, wrapped in blankets, inside to eat dessert, the paper towels get brought out to wipe fingers ... Reese thought it was great to unroll the whole thing of paper towels. Obviously, I didn't stop her, as I loved just sitting and watching her experience something new. It wasn't long before Ben joined in on the festivities - adding some blue napkins as well.
The markers came out - and what happens is a night filled with art and disaster.

I went upstairs for a quick moment, and came down to art on the kitchen chair. I pointed to the chair and asked her what she'd done. She proudly looks up at me with the biggest smile on her face and said "Rain, Mom!!"

**************INTERMISSION****************
. . . .
Getting ready for bed. I put toothpaste on Reese's toothbrush and tell her to start brushing. I proceed to show Greg a funny video on the computer. Ben starts yelling from the bathroom "Mom! She opened the lid of the stuff that goes on your toes!" I go running and found the following - of course it had to be the darkest color I own.
Fingernail Polish
Reese's reaction seeing herself in the mirror
Out came the fingernail polish remover
And then a scrub-down in the tub followed

Obviously all that polish remover and scrubbing couldn't remove all of it, but it sure was better than what I first encountered.
