Sadly, this was the only picture I took of our neighborhood block party. I just feel dumb taking pictures sometimes.The Cottonwood Heights police department came by (over an hour later than we were expecting) and talked with us about their new department and how to watch out for each other to be safe. There was a Target member who passed out Creamies to the kids.
We had a pretty good turn out. Our neighborhood is mostly old people, and in our group we had 4 widows/widowers. It was just nice to sit and visit and get to know our neighbors. We rolled our bbq out in the street and cooked up what each person brought, had some tables set out for all the side dishes. It was a really fun evening, even though it was our 10 year anniversary.
